portfolio / design for print

Ryen has been one of my most faithful clients over my years as a commercial graphic designer and it is always a delight to create work for her studio! This illustration was a challenging one. Since the production and a slight dark feeling to it, the concept of the music box was born to make the audience feel that Snow White is truly trapped in the Queen’s evil game. The goal was to portray the cold grasp of the aging queen, hence the decayed print and paper look to the final piece. This was actually printed in large scale and placed in one of the outdoor poster cases fo the famous Lucas Theater for the Arts in Downtown Savannah and used to promote the event one month prior to its opening. The final poster design was adapted to work as an 8.5 x 11 poster as well as a booklet cover.
